How reliable are nissan 300zx TT's

Hey guys, I want to get a fun daily to drive. I have a new job and I put about 100 miles a day. I'm trying to convince my dad to co-sign so I can buy this beautiful 1990 300zx TT for 7k. But my dad says blah blah blah BMW!! FTW!!! Get a M3/M5 and how BMW's are great or some nasty newer type of car. I don;t want a BMW because there more $$ to maintain and the mods for the cars are too expensive and not even big mods just like exhaust and what not So does any 1 know how reliable they are? and here's the mods tell me if its even worth it. I did the KBB on it and it came out to be about 8k for the condition that its in IF its really in that condition.

I have a 1990 Nissan 300zx (Z32) Twin Turbo. It runs good, drives good. Transmission feels smooth. Needs nothing but a good owner. I am moving soon and unfortunately have to sell her.

yeah, as much as I love these cars and as a former owner... They are really problemmatic... you have double the fail rate for the turbo's and it looks like it was owned by a stoner kid...

I'd pick it up for 3K as a project car if it ran... but not 8 for a daily... Get your FC3 running...
