MARTINI's 99 Spyder
1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
This is the current state and brief history of the vehicle. (I've neglected this post way too long)
Car started as a 2.4L 4G64 with an automatic transmision. This car was, at the time, only being built for show. (I had a 400 WHP Mustang Sitting in the drive way)
After a catastrophic engine failure, and alot of snickering by other DSMers, that I was modding a N/A, we decided to do what every one had told us was "impossable" and swap it out with a 2.0 4G63T and Manual Transmision. (Hey I was loyal to my car) Not sure why they told us it couldn't be done, what they should have said it was a big pain in the ass...
I picked up a 95 Talon AWD TSi with some decent mods that was rotted to hell for just under a G and a trip to the N.H. boarder. (rotted so bad that part of the rear axel was held on only by a bungi cord, that I didn't know untill after I already had hit fuel cut off in it)
Please note that this car is and probaly will always be under construction.

-1G Throttle Body
- 680cc Injectors
-walpro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
-T28 Turbo
-Turbo X MBC (set at 20psi)
-replacement Aluminum Flywheel
-Balance Shaft Eliminator Kit
-Graphite head gasket
-Full gasket replacment
-OBX Turbo Manifold
-3" Megan Turbo Back exaust
-exhaust Racing FMIC
-Greddy BOV
-Abducted MotorSports Shift Bearing Kit
-Abducted MotorSports Upper Strut Bar Brace
-Ebiach Pro Kit 2" Drop
-KYB Struts

-Custom Amp Mount replacing rear seats

-Pioneer DEH-9800BT Head Unit
-Infinity 6X9 4way 200RMS
-Infinity 6" 3way 200RMS
-Alpine Alpine MRD-M1005 1000w RMS
-2 Alpine 12" Type R Subs in custom Trunk Enclosure
Future Performance Modifications:
-16G Evo 3 Turbo
-External Wastgate
-Ignition System Upgrade (undecided)
-Engine Management System (DSMLink or Piggy Back ECU)
-Might Fab HKS BOV back in.
-Mishimoto Radiator & Electric Fan

Update...
I've done alot of engine tweeking with a help of a few pals in the DSM world...
Just replaced my junk Home Depot MBC with a turob X and now boosting 20lbs...
I'm also in the process of cleaning up the engine... heres a pic of the progress...

So I just a ball park estimate of how much I've spent on this build so far and including the original $3200.00 I paid for the car 5 years ago, I have close to $12,000.00 in to it...
