Making Master Cut-Off switch
Ok, trying to figure out how to exactly make a Master Cut-Off.... cut
off the entire engine and electrical system.... any ideas on how to do
this? what wires and what needs to be included? need this for some pro-am competitions...not expecting to be in the competitions this year (still need a Roll-Cage) but figure since i got my wires all out in the open now would be the time. I already have my fuel pump to a switch....

Re: Making Master Cut-Off switch
no its on the back hatch. i used a good 4ga wire. highly recomend a good brand master switch, and get some high quality copper connectors.
Run a wire (the 4ga) from your positive battery terminal to the switch itself
Once that is done, find the main power wire from your engine bay.
Run a wire from the other terminal on the Master switch to the main power wire in the engine bay.
Take the memory wire, or positive wire from the radio and run it right to the battery on a 15amp fuse. It sucks resesting your stations every time.
I would also recomend grounding the actual switch. Mine has 2 other terminals for grounding straps. Some switches require it, others dont. But after thats all set, your basically done. Tuck the wires, and your good to go

Re: Making Master Cut-Off switch
hmm well good thing i dont have a radio, have my battery in the trunk (so finding the wire is easy), and i have some 0gauge wire hanging around.
got to say, i over thought that one a lot!!! haha + wire to the battery didnt even cross my mind. here i am thinking, great now i have to go through the ecu wires again..

Re: Making Master Cut-Off switch
nope, all your basically doing is installing an interrupt switch between your battery and the rest of the car, kinda like installing a light switch in a house...
If you've already re-located your battery to the back, you've already done 60% of the job...
[main fuse box]++++++++on/off+++++++++[battery]----------------/ground
it's that's simple. (other than drilling the hole and running the wire and making it look clean.
