Inspection check points

So Rhode Island has started these inspection check points, I observed one today on my way to work. They had a few members from the RI DMV and Cranston Police Dpt. blocking the right travel lane on Garfield Ave going into the Cranston Parkaide Shopping Center and where randomly ordering drivers to pull into the coned off lane where they went over their cars with a fine comb, they where issuing tickets and 5 day notice & demand tickets for anything and everything they could. I had a few customers that told me that they received tickets for tint, no inspection sticker, slightly bald tires and damaged body panels. While you had some guy from the DMV inspecting your vehicle for infractions of the state's inspection laws, you had a Cranston Police Officer running your registration and license number and checking your BCI for warrants and in some case's checking your persons and searching your car for illegal contraband.

I do believe this is a violation of your 4th Amendment Right protecting you from illegal search and seizure.

At any rate, be watchful of these check points and stay clear if you can... I now have to worry about going to work every day, if they managed to stop me this morning, they would have caused me to be late, and considering I'm still with in my 1st 90 days of employment, that could have cost me my job.

The state will do any and everything for money

lmao thats so funny i saw that shit twice in coventry so far but it was only on the on ramp and off ramp of 95 did not know what they were doing so i avoided it good thing because u seen my junk the state would have retired off that shit lmfao !!!!

this is gonna be a problem for me, and anyone with a swpped engine setup or frame/suspension mods

that's also why I posted the RI inspection rule book. you should all print a copy and keep it in your cars.

This is why when I register my car down there, it will be as an antique. Then they can't say anything about the obnoxious noise from the pipes haha. Well, as long as it is in reason I guess. Flowmaster FTW!!!!
