Abducted MotorSports | RITUNERZ 2nd Annual Scavenger Hunt
Okay Boys and Girls, it's time for the 2nd Annual Fall Scavenger Hunt... ***PLEASE READ THIS IN FULL***
Don't know what it is? It's a 24 hour Southern New England wide scavenger hunt. CT/RI/MA (area will mostly consist of RI west of the East Bay, MA along RT 95/RT1 up to the 128/93 Split and CT along RT95
On Saturday March 30th, 2012 at 9pm we will all meet in the Rhode Island Mall Parking Lot (the upper level of Sears) Rain/Snow Date TBA
After you pay the entry fee of $20.00 per vehicle you will be given a list of items/tasks to find and complete, along with some riddles and clues to solve for bonus points. You will be given 24 hours to find/complete as many of the items on the list and return to the RI Mall parking lot on Sunday 04/01/10 by 10PM (any one late will be disqualified) and turn in your list. The team who scores the most points will win 50% of the pot 2nd place will win 25% of the pot. The other 25% will go back into the Scavenger hunt fund to help pay for this event and future events. (office supplies cost money boys and girls)
The scavenger hunt list has been prepared by a 3rd party and is a complete mystery to myself, but in the interest of fairness, I will not be participating in the hunt.
Here is a few examples of things that may be on the list:
Take a photo of a team member in front of the Rhode Island State House 50 Points
Collect and turn in a drink cup from a "specific restaurant" 100 Points
Things you will need to participate and complete this Scavenger Hunt.
1. A car
2. Team members (minimum 2/ max legal capacity of your vehicle)
3. A digital camera with a removable SD card with time/date stamp set to the correct date and time
4. $20.00 cash
5. A pen and Highlighter
At 9:30 we will have a brief meeting to discuses the full rules of the hunt and answer any questions you may have and at 10:00 you will be set off to start the hunt... If you want a sneak peak at the full rules please visit our forums at www.ritunerz.com
We will require a minimum of 10 teams to start the hunt in order to make the prize worth the effort (Prize at 10 teams for 1st place would be $100.00) Prize for 20 teams would be $200.00 ect... Last year 1st place winner took home $250.00 so lets brake that and spread the word to as many people as possible. We will cap this at the 1st 50 teams tho, to keep some sort of order.
OFFICIAL RULES
1. Each Team will consist of a driver and up to 3 co-piolet.
2. Each Team will only use one digital camera with a removable SD Card, and Time/Date Stamp function. (date/time stamp must be turned on and set correctly).
3. You will have 24 hours to compete the scavenger hunt and all SD Cards and lists must be turned in by the end of the time alocated. Anything even a minute late WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!!!
4. This is NOT a race, please drive carefully and follow any traffic laws as you would normaly do so. (if any one get into an accident while on the hunt, they will be banded from the next 4 events.)
5. All instructions must be followed for each item listed, anything not done correctly will not be counted tawrds your score. This also applies to the Instructions* listed bellow on how to complete the check list.
6. Cheaters never win... If your caught cheating you will Disqualified...
7. Failure to follow any of the rules or instructions will result in Disqualification.
8. If your disqualified, your team is disqualified, no refund will be given.
XTRA POINTS:
Here something to make things interesting: If you see another team's car take a picture of them: You will be awarded an aditional 25 points for each Car you spot and take a picture of... But if your car is spoted and someone gets a picture of your car your team will loose 25 points... So be sneaky about it.... if two teams manage to take a picture of eachothers car then no xtra points will be awarded....
List Abriviations:
VP - Vehical Photo (your car must be in the picture)
TP - Team photo (the driver and all other co-pilots must be in picture minus person taken photo)
Entry Fee and Prize:
Each Team will pay $20.00 to play
The winning team will recieve 50% of the total pot 2nd Place will recieve 25%.
The other 25% will go into the Scavenger Hunt fund for future events and to pay for the copies, ect...)
*Instructions: Take a Highlighter and highlight everything you accomplished on the list. Then mark it in order of how you accomplished it. Say you go to Ladd School first: highlight it. then write "1" next to it, the number should correspond to the order in which it comes up on your camera. For things like: "Go to 10 different Wal-Mart's" place a comma between the different ones, For example, say you go to one Wal-Mart, do some other things, then hit another one put 23, 32, 49 ect next to it, order it as you do it.
If you are asked to collect and turn in an item, the item must be turned it and will become property of RITUNERZ (with the exception of SD cards, those will be returned once the winner is determined. )
When the Hunt is over, tally up your score, Add the points to everything you have done & can provde proof that you did. The 3 teams with the highest score will be analized by the Judges. We will go through your entire list and camera to ensure everythign you say you have done was actualy done... Winner will be announced by Midnight on Sunday 04/01/12
The rest of the instructions will be announced at the night of the Hunt.
Also by taking part of this scavenger hunt, you agree to follow all traffic and local laws, and to hold Abducted MotorSports, RITUNERZ any sponsors, affiliates or members free of any liabilities for personal injury, property damage to you, your personal belongings and/or any other persons or person's property you may cause harm to while participating in this event or any other Abducted MotorSports events.

FYI Guys... I have postpone the event till March 30th due to a lack of participants, anything less than 10 teams won't be worth the time or gas to participate...
