Yes Martini, I am going to do the body work this winter. I just want to get what is left of the summer out of it first.

Well... I am actually going to be doing all the body work, body mounts, POR15 on the whole frame and undercarriage before I re-connect the body to the frame. What I am going to do is separate enough to have clear access to my firewall so I can smooth that down and do a FULL paint job to it right down to where most people never get because they can't reach, the tuck panels above the frame buckles where it bends down at the bottom of the firewall.

Well, I am back from the dead. Those of you who were following on Facebook have seen some of these pics, but I figured it was time to bring this thread up to speed. As far at the transmission goes, I found a TH350 with a shift improver kit and slapped that in with some new billet accessories. This is the shot of that...

Since then, I have used a shit load of scratch-x and some good old elbow grease to get it to this...









That is all original paint. I have been pretty much sitting on it and enjoying it since. Ran out of parts and money for a while. I do believe I will be working on a legal exhaust for it shortly. It is winter, so I am going to start the body work and plan to keep a photo journal of that progress as well.

Looks like it's coming along just nicely... And I'm sure with those tires on it and the torq she's putting down she's going to be useless for most of the winter anyways...

Oh yeah. Someone so much as spits on the ground and the torque is hard to plant. So, winter makes this thing into a really pretty garage ornament

It kind of makes it nice to sit back and compare what you start with to what you currently have. I mean this thing went from something that someone had given up on and was beating it with a hammer, to what it is now. It doesn't really hit home until you see the before and after side by side and realize that this was only about a month that I worked on it, and even that was scattered work, not steady. Check the before and after, then do the same to your project. It really opens your eyes...
